Entries are limited to schools, civic clubs & organizations, chambers of commerce, churches, local fund raisers, etc.; however, personal entries are excluded. We recommend sending your info at least 14 days prior to the event date. Friday Fish Fry During Lenten Season 

  • Fish Fry at Brookville VFW, 26 West 8th Street, Brookville, IN 47012, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Dine in or carry out.
  • Fish Fry at Brookville Knights of Columbus. 4:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. Baked or fried fish, vegetables, potatoes and dessert. Other menu items available for order. Dine in or carry out.

April

2: Oxford Parks and Recreation Egg Scramble at the Tri.  April 2 at 7 p.m. Why not include the adults in this annual tradition? Any adult 18 yrs.+ can join the fun and search the trails for eggs filled with coupons, prizes, and other surprises. This event is free and there is no registration required. Age group: 4th – 8th Grade TRI Community Center Baseball Field at 9:30 p.m. It’s dark outside so bring your bag and a flashlight! Eggs will be filled with candy and other surprises as they turn you loose at OPRD for a nighttime scramble. This event is free and there is no registration required. Pro tip: bring a headlamp to free your hands and quickly find eggs at night.

4: Oxford Parks and Recreation Egg Scramble at the Oxford Community Park at 11 a.m. Age group: 0yr – 3rd Grade. Thousands of eggs filled with candy and other surprises will be scattered on the fields for the little ones to grab! Age groups will be separated to allow for a fun and safe scramble. Make sure you grab your favorite basket to fill up with sweet treats! All Egg Scrambles are free, no registration required.

4: Blessed Growth' Children's Clothing & Toy Sale will be from 8 a.m. - Noon (free admission after 8 a.m.), with pre-sale beginning at 7 a.m. (for $3 per person.) Shop 4,000-sq. feet of gently used children's clothing, shoes, toys and baby essentials at St. Michael's School in Brookville, Indiana.

18: Oxford Bee Festival and Oats 5/k/10K in Oxford

18: Drug Take Back 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Brookville United Methodist Church, Brookville. Join community partners in keeping prescription medications out of the wrong hands. If you have expired or unused medications in your home, it may be time to get rid of them.

18: LEGO Expo returns to Brookville Library on from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. See the LEGO builds, watch a LEGO movie, test out your LEGO knowledge with trivia, and vote on your favorite creative builds! The Creative Build Competition will be for all ages to display their own custom builds. Trophies and prizes will be awarded at the end of the show.

24: Plant a Tree for Arbor Day! The 15th Annual Arbor Day Tree Giveaway & Canned Food Drive at 9 a.m. at the office. Bring canned good items or a cash donation in exchange for 5 free trees to Franklin County SCWD, 10165 Oxford Pike, Brookville. Canned goods and cash will be donated to RedLife Food Bank in Brookville. Trees include white pine, northern white cedar, persimmon, scarlet oak and redbud.

30: Oxford Wine & Craft Beer Festival, Uptown Oxford. The Oxford Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 18th annual Wine and Craft Beer Festival on May 30 from 2 p.m. – 10 p.m. at the Uptown Parks (4 N. Main St.) where Main & High Street will be closed for the event. The Oxford Wine and Craft Beer Festival is a three-time winner of Ohio Magazine’s Best Wine Festivals in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Attendees can sample international and domestic wines, and craft beers with tasting tickets (21+). Proceeds from the festival will support Oxford’s Chamber of Commerce scholarship fund.

6: Oxford Masonic Lodge Car & Bike Show, Uptown Oxford

13-14: Hueston Woods Arts & Crafts Fair. The Oxford Museum Association welcomes artisans and craftsmen to show off their talented work at the Hueston Woods Arts & Crafts Fair. Join the longest running fair in southwest Ohio at Doty Pioneer Farm, just four miles outside of the city of Oxford.
