Entries are limited to schools, civic clubs & organizations, chambers of commerce, churches, local fund raisers, etc.; however, personal entries are excluded. We recommend sending your info at least 14 days prior to the event date. There is no guarantee implied or otherwise made that your event will be included and publishing thereof is at the sole discretion of BSB. October

24: Franklin County 4-H Fun and Friendly Halloween Trick or Treat. 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at FC Fairgrounds. Games, food and more.

27: American Legion Post #77 (Brookville) is serving the public from 8 a.m. - Noon. Sausage sales and breakfast: sausage, pancakes, scrambled eggs, biscuits/gravy, hashed browns, juice, coffee or water. Adults--$15 (All you can eat). Children 10 & under--$7. Orders are now being taken for fresh pork sausage in bulk, patties and links, along with Goetta and Liverwurst. $5/lb. Order by Monday, October 21, by calling 765-647-4613.

 

November

3: Turkey Bingo & Raffle at 6 p.m. – doors open at 5:00 p.m. Refreshments – Homemade Pies, sandwiches and drinks All proceeds given to charity. Come and spend an enjoyable evening at St. Peter’s Parish, Franklin County, Community Building, 1207 East Road, St. Peter’s.

23: Free Puppet Show at 11 a.m. The public is invited to enjoy MadCap Puppets’ presentation of “The Nutcracker” at the Brookville K of C Hall as part of Main Street’s November Noel. The show is sponsored by the Franklin County Arts Council and is free to the public, due to the generosity of the Brookville Foundation’s Lucille Ernst Endowment for the Arts. The actors will engage the audience with life-size hand puppets as well as body puppets, and will keep the little ones smiling throughout the many songs and scenes. After the show, a chili bar lunch will be available for purchase.
