17 Benefit From BSB's Random Act of Kindness Contest

The holidays came early for 17 organizations that were nominated to receive $100 in Bath State Bank’s Random Act of Kindness contest. Every employee who nominated an entity was recognized as winner of the contest. Those recipients are: American Diabetes Assn., Union County Council on Aging, Union County Historical Society (2), Brookville Swimming Pool, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, College Corner Ministerial Assn., Liberty Acres United Rescue Animal Sanctuary, Union County High School Musical, Liberty’s Shop with a Cop, Grain of Rice Project, Open Hand Pantry in Hamilton, Random Help with a Utility Bill in Connersville, U.C. Cancer Society, The A.L.S. Assn./Lou Gehrig’s Disease, Indiana Dept. of Child Services, Union County Library After School Program.

Employees went one step further and adopted four area families for the Christmas season. Staff personally donated funds to help purchase clothes, shoes, groceries and toys for the children, and a few gift cards for the families. In addition, BSB staff baked more than 1,200 cookies and sweets, then delivered the plates to area shut-ins and several nursing homes.
