The Bath State Bank

How We Started: Back in 1924, a group of community leaders decided there was a need for a bank in Bath, Indiana. They raised $25,000 in capital. Today, we have more than $10 million in capital and more than $130 million in assets. Their original intent was to be a source of financial strength for Bath and the surrounding communities.  It remains that way today and our customers extend over 32 counties. They all come to one rural location in Bath.

How Did We Get There? We got there by our Mission Statement – “Building genuine relationships with our customers and community by caring for them like family.”  Where does all this start? With our staff. When you walk through our doors, you’ll find the Bank comfortable and relaxed. You won’t see us in suits, ties, cuff links and tie bars. We are laid back and casual. Our staff is focused on taking care of your banking needs. 

We are a locally owned, independent bank which allows us many advantages. Our decisions are made right here, and we develop our policies to best fit the needs of our customers in this area. This allows us to be more flexible and decisions can be made quickly.
