What's that hole in the field . . .
Well . . . if you've been north of College Corner on U.S. 27, you have noticed the hole. It's our basement. Water and sewer lines were installed in April, and now work is commencing on the branch. Photo at right indicates phase of project. More to come later.

Excitement Surrounds Branch Approval . . .
Bath State Bank received approval from the Indiana State Department of Financial Institutions to build its first-ever branch within the coming months!
The property, acquired from the Grohs, is located directly across U.S. 27 from the College Corner Implement Company in West College Corner, Indiana.
“We are excited about this opportunity and are looking forward to growing and prospering with the College Corner community,” said Bath State Bank President/CEO George W. Ferriell.
Bath State Bank already received approval from the Union County Area Planning Commission and the Union County Commissioners in 2007, and the parcel now is zoned commercial.
The new facility will be a full service branch, complete with drive-up access, ATM, night deposit, walk-in lobby, safety deposit boxes, loan and deposit services. The parking lot will also be semi-truck and livestock trailer-friendly — allowing for ample room for oversized vehicles.
“You’ll have a dedicated, trained Bath State Bank staff at another location,” added Ferriell. “The community of College Corner needs a bank, and we are anxious about becoming more involved with this town.”
Pending weather conditions, Bath State Bank Board of Directors and staff hope to open for business this fall. Progress will be reported as construction begins.
